In-Person/Online Winter Hydrangeas

Paint outside the lines and learn to see flowers in a whole new way!  Negative painting is the process of painting around an object to define it in the composition. Follow Jennifer through the negative painting process to create a looser floral painting based on beautiful winter blooming hydrangeas.  Learn to create layered petals, leaves and stems.  Achieve effective backgrounds with character and spontaneity.  Work with negative painting to create multiple layers of depth.  Let your colour flow outside the shapes for gorgeous wet-in-wet effects.  A single project will span the 4 sessions.  Reference photos are provided.

"I have just finished an on-line still-life course with Jennifer Olson and found it enjoyable, rewarding, educational and inspiring. I was very impressed with Jennifer's preparation for each class, her ability to navigate the new on-line requirements, and her ability to encourage each student with his/her unique developmental aspirations. I have no hesitation in recommending Jennifer as a teacher/facilitator for watercolourists of all levels."
