Wet-in-Wet Watercolour
This workshop takes place at Island Blue in Victoria. "Wet-in-wet" highlights the best of watercolour: natural spontaneous effects, beautiful colour transitions and soft, blurry qualities. Learn how to be both controlled and loose with variations on this technique. Jennifer will take you through a series of technical studies to show you effects for everything from subtle backgrounds, to bold saturated details on wet surfaces. Work your way to a sample painting in the afternoon that incorporates the various techniques. Watercolour Controlled & Bold
This workshop takes place at Island Blue in Victoria. The focus is on using "pulled edge" techniques to soften edges and regain control of your paint. "Pulled edges" are especially useful for consistent areas of graded colour, shadows, shading, transitions and slightly softened details. Mastering this technique will allow you to achieve darker, saturated colours, while still retaining your highlights. It opens a world of possibilities with watercolour, from fine, natural looking details, to beautifully transitioned colour without watermarks. Jennifer will take you through technical studies in the morning and then work towards a small sample painting in the afternoon. A fresh approach to painting for both newer painters and experienced watercolourists.
